History
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Arizona, the founding Make-A-Wish® chapter, began in Phoenix, Arizona in 1980 with one little boy’s wish to be a police officer for a day. From its humble grassroots beginning, the Foundation has grown into a worldwide wish-granting phenomenon. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that to date, has granted more than 4,000 wishes to Arizona children with life-threatening medical conditions.
The Little Bubblegum Trooper, Chris Greicius, is the inspiration for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® .
Make-A-Wish Arizona is proud to partner with our local chapters of Chi Omega, a national sorority with three state university chapters that have been incredible fundraisers for our local Arizona children.
