Make-A-Wish® Arizona has one mission: We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
We are dedicated to making every eligible child’s wish come true and, in fiscal year 2012, we had our most successful year to date–fulfilling 288 wishes!
How do we do it?
We fulfill those wishes with:
Integrity—We approach every aspect of our work with unwavering standards of honesty, transparency, and respect for wish recipients, their families and Make-A-Wish® supporters.
Child Focus—Our business practices always put the interests of wish children first.
Excellence—We aspire to best-in-class business practices, and we embrace the challenge to exceed expectations at every opportunity.
Community—We foster a collaborative, global community of staff, volunteers and donors with the collective ability to make the broadest possible range of wishes come true.
Inspiration—We are inspired by the examples of our wish kids and the actions of the entire Make-A-Wish community to approach our mission with life-affirming enthusiasm, imagination and creativity.
As a result, we fill each wish experience and every interaction with hope, strength and joy. But we don’t do it alone. Find out how you can help fulfill a wish kid’s ultimate wish.
Granting Wishes
Make-A-Wish Arizona grants the wishes of children between 2½ and 18 years of age whose physicians’ affirm that they have a life-threatening medical condition.
A “wish” is a critically ill child’s answer to the question, “If you could have anything in the world, go anywhere, be or do anything…what would you choose? What would you do?”
Make-A-Wish Arizona is proud to partner with our local chapters of Chi Omega, a national sorority with three state university chapters that have been incredible fundraisers for our local Arizona children.
