Before joining Make-A-Wish Arizona: Before joining Make-A-Wish Arizona as a full-time staff member, I was a Wish Granting intern for the Spring 2018 semester. I also have worked as an Investigator for the Department of Child Safety, a Bailiff for Maricopa County Superior Court and as a Pharmacy Services Associate for Cigna Health Insurance; each of these roles, while unique, have experiences that are directly transferable to my current role here at Make-A-Wish Arizona.
Education: I graduated from the University of Arizona in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. After graduation I worked for 2 years before attending Arizona State University and receiving a Masters of Sports Law & Business degree from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in 2018.
About me: I was born and raised in the Phoenix/Glendale area and have lived in Arizona all but one year of my life (where I lived in Mississippi). I absolutely love sports! When I’m not watching them, I’m playing them, and if I’m doing neither of those things, you can be certain I’m reading up on my teams or playing fantasy sports. I also enjoy going to the movies, watching stand-up comedy, listening to music/podcasts, playing video games and spending time with my friends and family.
My favorite thing about working at Make-A-Wish Arizona: My work here makes a difference in so many people’s lives. While the wish itself may be directed toward the wish child, a single wish can impact the lives of the wish child, the child’s parents, siblings, wish volunteers, and many others. I’ve always been drawn toward work that I believe can have an impact in the community and what better way to create an impact than to make someone’s wish come true!
My wish would be: To play catch with Drew Brees in the Superdome!
