Title: Wish Support Manager
Before joining Make-A-Wish® Arizona: I began my experience working with Make-A-Wish as a volunteer! After college, I was living in the Washington, DC area and worked at The White House. I was able to participate in a wish experience where a little boy met President Bill Clinton. I found the experience so heart-warming that I signed up as a volunteer with the Mid-Atlantic chapter of Make-A-Wish. In 2001 after my job at The White House ended, I moved back to Phoenix (where I’m from) and immediately signed up to volunteer at the Arizona chapter. One thing lead to another and before I knew it, I was working as a Wish Manager! I stayed in that position until 2005 when I left to travel with my husband for his career as a professional golfer. Baby #1 came in 2006 and baby #2 in 2008. Once my girls were old enough to be in school for a portion of the day in 2011, I had the desire to come back to Make-A-Wish. Here I am now, back as a part-time Wish Manager and I love it!
Education: B.S. in Journalism and Sociology from Northern Arizona University
About me: I love to create! Whether that entails throwing parties, decorating spaces, planning events – as long as there is a creative element – I love to do it. I also enjoy reading, watching movies and spending time with my family.
My wish would be: To take a year off and travel around the world with my family.
