Name: Eduardo De Los Santos
Title: Wish Manager
Before joining Make-A-Wish® Arizona: I worked for several mental health agencies that focused in various diagnosis in the Los Angeles area. I worked closely with families and children and adults in their time of need and also conducted several group courses that focused in domestic violence, anger management and parenting classes for the department of families and children. My previous position allowed me to have an open mind to the various needs of the families and individuals who I served and provided me with the opportunity to gain experience that is helpful when working with families who also encounter traumatic and difficult experiences with their children.
- BA in Sociology with an Emphasis in Criminal Justice along with a Central American Minor.
- Currently a student acquiring my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy
About me: I have been happily married for 6 years and have a wonderful daughter. She is my motivation to further my education and be part of the helping field. In my spare time, I enjoy horseback riding and love attending rodeos.
My favorite thing about working at Make-A-Wish Arizona: The excitement that can be heard over the phone when it is communicated to families that their child will be receiving a special wish through Make-A-Wish Arizona. Hearing the parents' excitement and gratitude for our service even though they are or have gone through tough times is priceless and makes me realize the impact of our jobs.
My wish would be: To be as helpful as I can within my position to assist all eligible children receive their wish.
