Prospect Researcher/Data Analyst
Before joining Make-A-Wish Arizona:
I was the Product Data Planning Mgr. Intel Corporation and retired after 28 years in June 2017, I came to Make-A-Wish Arizona via the Intel/Encore program which is excellent.
Supply Chain Management with various leadership and industry-centric certifications.
I’ve been in Arizona since I was 10, my wife Janet is a Paralegal with Honor Health and we have a daughter Alexa who brings us more joy (and stray animals) than we can sometimes handle, that equates to 5 dogs and 4 cats (currently). I am a big sports fan (primarily football and baseball) and enjoy golf and early morning walks (in August of 2017 I passed the 1000 mile marker since my retirement).
Why Make-A-Wish Arizona:
I’ve enjoyed volunteering in the past at events and when the Intel/Encore opportunity came up to volunteer for 1000 hours over the span of one year I could not think of a better place to spend my time!
What are your strengths:
Detail-oriented, data-based decision making, Lean methodologies, people and team development.
What are your weaknesses:
I can be like a “dog with a bone” sometimes when I feel there are better ways to accomplish things – may have been great at Intel, not mission-critical at Make-A-Wish (and that’s ok!).
My wish would be:
As great an organization as Make-A-Wish is, I’d wish there was no need for wishes for some many deserving children. But since I can’t change that I’m just glad to be part of a team that makes this all happen, every day.
