Name: Patti Roberts
Title: Donor Care Associate
Before joining Make-A-Wish Arizona: I worked 30 years for Esperanca, Inc., a non-profit international healthcare organization, headquartered in Phoenix, AZ – we improve health and provide hope for families in the poorest communities around the world through disease prevention, education and treatment. I retired in 2006.
Education: Associate Degree from Phoenix College 1977
About me: I'm almost a “native Phoenician” – I was born in San Diego, but moved here when I was 6 months old. I was raised in Central Phoenix, and now reside in Scottsdale. Married (1988), and gained an instant family of three stepchildren. They are all grown now, happily married, and have given us three delightful grandchildren. Thankfully, two of the three children, and all three of the grandchildren, live nearby. They are a big part of our lives, and we see them often. My days are filled with Jazzercise (over 30 years), crafts, scrapbooking, party planning (anything with a theme makes me giddy!), movies, volunteering and spending time with my husband, family and friends.
My favorite thing about working at Make-A-Wish Arizona: The joy, laughter and fun that is provided a child through their unique wish – allowing them and their family to escape their medical struggles for a brief moment.
My wish would be: I wish to have my twin sister, Linda, move back to Arizona (she lives in Maryland).
