“ Thank you. I love it all! ”

- Tallie

On World Wish Day, five-year-old Tallie from Chandler found out she would have her wish for a princess room makeover granted.

Tallie came to the Wish House on World Wish Day, not knowing that her wish would be granted that very week.  She received a little box with instructions to open it with a key. To her surprise, she discovered the color scheme and décor inspiration that would decorate her new princess-inspired bedroom.Tallie, 5, wished for a princess bedroom

When asked how she felt after realizing her wish would be granted, an energetic Tallie replied, “It’s great and I like it and it’s so beautiful today!”

On Tuesday, May 4, Tallie’s wish was granted.  She arrived at her house to discover her brand new princess bedroom.  Tallie was wide-eyed and in awe over the miniature pink vanity with princess costume jewelry inside the drawers. There was a framed picture of Tallie and her mother that she hugged.  A giant gold crown hung over her canopy bed- perfect for a little princess. Behind the bed, a charming hand-painted mural of a castle covered the walls, which was created by a local artist. Tallie’s closet was filled with brightly colored princess gowns, slippers, crowns, dolls, and sparkly snow globes. She continuously hugged her guests, so thankful that this beautiful room was now hers. “Thank you. I love it all!” she said.

After the unveiling, there was a surprise party thrown by the volunteers with food for Tallie and her family and friends. Make-A-Wish staff, volunteers and sponsors of the wish were all in attendance. Volunteers and community partners worked hard on Tallie’s room makeover for an entire week. The wish could not have been made possible without their generous support and donation of their time, talents, and resources.

Make-A-Wish® Arizona thanks the Betty Crocker's Stirring Up Wishes campaign for sponsoring Tallie's wish with a $7,000 donation. We also thank the community partner who generously donated their services and time, Bellini, Cake Dreams, Casanova Carriage, Disney Store, JFK Electrical Contracting Enterprices, Inc., Express Home Services, Inc., Girly Girlz, Home Depot, Huddle Furniture for Kids, National Charity League and Southwest Residential Interior, Inc.
