“It feels really good to know I’m making a difference and helping other kids get their one true wish,” said Piper, who received her wish to publish her novel, Paradox, last year.
Piper and her mom, Marina, have been using the Walk For Wishes mobile app to fundraise. In the app, they can send invites to friends and family or post on social media to share with Piper’s fans. Piper’s former martial arts school even created a competition to raise money.
As for Piper, she just turned 15 and finished the sequel to the book she crafted for her wish. She is excited to meet other wish kids and hear their stories at the Walk For Wishes November 3 at the Phoenix Zoo.
“Having a wish is a lot more than just getting a thing or going on a vacation; it actually helps with medical recovery,” Piper said.
Team Piper is currently one of the top Walk For Wishes fundraising teams with more than $1300 raised! It’s not too late for you to join in on the fun. Donate to Piper’s team or create your own team today to be part of our biggest family-friendly event of the year!
