The mission of Make-A-Wish Arizona, as always, is to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. That is why, in support of current medical and public concerns, we are taking steps to ensure the health and safety of our Make-A-Wish Arizona wish kids and their families, as well as our partners and supporters.
We have made the difficult decision to postpone until further notice all wish travel, as well as canceling wish kid participation in activities and events related to Make-A-Wish Arizona that involve large gatherings.
We estimate more than 60 Arizona wishes could be delayed by COVID-19 related postponements in March and April, with 30 to 40 more each month as restrictions continue. In addition, we have postponed the Volunteer Recognition Conference and Make-A-Wish Arizona Wish Ball, with a new date: Friday, August 21.

We believe these are the right decisions to make for our wish kids, our wish families, our volunteers, our staff and all of you who support us.
Make-A-Wish Arizona will continue to monitor guidance from national and international public health and government organizations, keeping the best interest of the children and families we serve at the center of all policy decisions.
We are sharing this information with you because of your commitment to our wish kids and their families. Because we recognize the need for hope, strength and joy in all our lives right now, we will continue to share stories of the power of wishes through emails, on our social media channels and to the public.
More wishes are waiting than ever before so your support means more now than ever. If you’d like to assist our chapter during this difficult time, visit arizona.wish.org/ways-to-help to find out how you can get involved.
For the past 40 years, people like you have helped Make-A-Wish Arizona transform the lives of more than 6,500 Arizona children dealing with critical conditions. We hope you will continue to partner with us as together we work toward a future where wishes can come true again for our wish kids and their families.
