Justin has always had a slight obsession with the Eiffel Tower.
“When I was little, I was shopping with my mom and saw an Eiffel Tower and I begged her to buy it for me,” said Justin. “Then I started learning more about it and it was very cool.”
That is why, when Justin was told he qualified for a wish due to his bone cancer diagnosis, he wished to go to Paris.
“I knew I wanted to see the Eiffel Tower in person,” said Justin. “And I knew it was going to be an awesome trip.”
Justin used his days of treatment to plan things he wanted to see and do in the city – including not only the Eiffel Tower, but also the catacombs, a city bus tour and eating lots of pastries.
“We had a personal tour of the Eiffel Tower, all the way to the top,” said Justin, who had his wish in October. “Even though it was rainy and foggy that day, we could see the whole city. It was very cool.”
Justin also really enjoyed the catacombs and their spooky history.
“We had to go down, down, down this long flight of stairs, and you went by all these different skulls, and bones, and tombstones,” he continued. “It was fun to be underground.”
Justin and his mother ate a lot of great food and walked around the city for days.
“We did all the touristy things, saw the big landmarks and with all the walking, it was like physical therapy,” said Justin, who is still getting therapy and treatment after his return. “I can’t believe I actually got to see the Eiffel Tower in person. My wish was so awesome.”
