On September 29, 2017, Angel was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, at the time he was only 7 years old.
Angel and his family had no idea on the journey that they were about to embark. However, midway on this treatment, he was referred to Make-A-Wish Arizona to see if he qualified for a wish.
“I’ve heard of this organization before, but never thought we would ever become a wish family,” Guadalupe stated, Angel’s mom.
Angel’s wish was a computer gaming system with a chair, “I love playing video games and streaming, my wish is so much fun, and my chair is so cool!” Angel said.
“Ever since his wish was granted, Angel has been acting different with his siblings, he is more accessible with them and enthusiastic about life. I would’ve never been able to buy him all those things, it’s something I cannot afford, I am extremely thankful with Make-A-Wish Arizona and with everyone who make this possible,” Guadalupe commented.
Angel is attending school, he goes to see his doctor once a month and he’s supposed to finish taking his medication soon. Angel’s mom stated that the best thing about Angel’s wish was his reaction, the smile on his face, and the positive impact that it had not only on his life, but on the entire family.
